Straight razor. John Primble India Steel Works. Blade etched, "Old Honesty, A Thoroughbred." This is the only example of this handle pattern that I have ever seen. Imitation ivory handle with "The Primble Shield" in ribbon above raised figure of soldier with shield "Primble India Steel Works" on shield; "Stands for all that is good in cutlery" below shield in ribbon "Goods of Honor" around heand pin. Straight razor. J.R. Torrey Razor Co. Worcester, Mass USA. Both sides of imitation ivory handle have full length figural fish. This one is highlighted in green. I have owned two others of this pattern. J.R. Torrey made all examples that I have seen. It is possible that the rarity of the pattern is due to the fact that Torrey had an exclusive on the pattern.
