TURNBRIDGE STYLE HANDCRAFTED OCTAGONAL VICTORIAN SEWING TABLE. Circa 1880. Walnut with 8-pointed inlayed star design made with light and dark wood on the hinged, fretted top and each of the fretted panels that make up the octagonal conical body set on a scroll carved four-footed base. Interior fitted with a removable tray lined with green felt and divided into compartments for sewing supplies. The well below was used to store needlework in progress. H 31in Top 24in side to side.
