Straight razor. Wm. Elliot & Co. Made in Germany. Rounded imitation ivory handle with brown-colored, raised beaded design that showcases a cartouche with hand-painted standing deer on green and blue background. Pile side is fully beaded and colored to match background of front. The only other that I have seen is a match to this one. Each has the number “90” stamped on the tang and the same maker. The hand-painted scenes are supposed to be identical, but because they are hand painted, they are slightly different. Fantastic signature razors from Wm. Elliot. Extremely rare. This is razor # 84 in the "Celluloid Handle Guide for Straight Razor Collectors" by Robert A. Doyle.

Straight razor. George Wostenholm & Sons Celebrated I*XL Razor Sheffield, England. Rounded imitation ivory handle has engraved, inlaid German silver scene of buck, two does and fawn in forest. Pile side is plain rounded imitation ivory. Note: It is quite unusual to find fancy celluloid handles on blades made in Sheffield. The blade is of the right period and the pins do not look like they have been worked on. I believe that this is an original. However, keep in mind that most of the fancy celluloid handled razors were made in Germany. Rare. This is razor # 93 in the "Celluloid Handle Guide for Straight Razor Collectors" by Robert A. Doyle.

Straight razor. Rashid Bohakel Chicago, Ill. Made in Germany. Rounded imitation ivory handle with three inlaid engraved aluminum leaves connected to hand-colored green stems and red flowers or berries. Pile side is plain rounded imitation ivory. Note that this is similar to #90 and yet distinctly different, attesting to the variety of celluloid handle patterns available in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Rare.
